tanggapan ng koreo
Explanation:
Hi,

Here is how the government refers to "post office". None of the words are derived from Spanish.

tanggapan = "office"
ng = "of"
koreo = "mail", "post", etc.

Swordfish, you\'re right. \"Koreo\" is derived from the Spanish word refering to \"mail\". Unfortunately, there are no other native Tagalog words that carry the same exact meaning. You may want to use \"liham\" instead (i.e. \"tanggapan ng liham\") as \"liham\" means \"letter\". However, this wouldn\'t cover the other material handled by post offices, such as parcels, etc.

I still think "koreo" is derived from Spanish unless you point me to a definite source that it is really a Tagalog word.
