1 day13 hrs confidence: peer agreement (net): +1 (pal ) kattuthal and pathiththal
Explanation: In the place of ( pal) we can use whatever part , generally of bony things, is implanted. "Pathithal" too complements the other at places.

And for ORGANs I never come across IMPLANT but TRANSPLANT. So if it is TRANSPLANT I haev to give different answer..... ie (URUPPU) MAARRU... so the asker should clarify.

Further the extended usage of these vocabularies other than thier intended should be appriciated as such. There is no need for any grudging. If the society accepts , it becomes standardised. If not it gets rejected.......So I differ with the ULNAATTAL of TANJORE UNIVERSITY's work. I really do not understand what Mr GUNA is trying to convey and where from he got his meaning.

I don't agree with the asker's award as the answer doesn't seem to be COMPLETE eventhough it was taken from a DICTIONARY.And I want the asker to explain the reasons for the decision and the rejection of my explanations.Hope she does it at the earliest.
Example sentence(s):- pal kattuthal, cilicon pathiththal, thakadu pathiththal/ kattuthal
