neutral  Kamran Nadeem: In my opinion there is no URDU word ARMANI its ARMAN which means a desire, wish or want etc where as desirous in URDU is ARMAN RAKHNAY WALA or KHAHISH MAND or AARZOO MAND.but ARMANI does not means desirous its simply a DESIRE.Please note .thanx & regards

agree  Altaf Zaki: Although "armani" is not common now but it is Urdu word, actual word is "arman" wich is a noun and masculine word, armani is adjective of "aman" and it means "desirous"

-> agree, perhaps there were a typing mistake "aman "insted of "Arman", it should be like (armani is an adjective of "arman" and it means "desirous" )

neutral  Rashid muhammad: armani is used in urdu for jerman. i dont remember it is used in some verse of Iqbal in that sense and some one can remeber. but i fear the listener has not listened well.

Though ARMANI ia not a proper URDU word it might be ARMAN, the meanings of which are described in the title.
the asker is requested to narrate the reference of the context in which the word ARMANI was used, for a better and clear reply.
But in the given situation it looks ARMAN.Moreover the language pair is also not correct it should be
URDU to ENGLISH instead of ENGLISH to
