Military / Defense
Farsi (Persian) term or phrase:
Dina Abdo
Palestine
Local time: 00:27
Arabic translation:citadel, stronghold
Explanation:
We have "kut" in Farsi meaning "citadel, stronghold". It is somewhat old, and nowadays "estehkAmAt" and/or "pAyegAh" is used instead.
I read in a book (about Saddam Hussein) that Kuwait, the country, has been derived from the word "kut"; that is to say,"Kuwait" is the diminutive form of "kut". The said book goes on to say that original Kuwaiti people lived in a "kut", whcih was later expanded into Kuwait.

I know about Kut being the origin of Kuwait but it can't be in that context. I think that stronghold might work for it too as a military term. I'll suggest it and see what happens :) Thanks a lot :)
