Actually I've never heard of "Taklik" in Farsi, we use the same Arabic "Qubool", "Qabool" or "Ijab" words in this case. Are you sure it's "Taklik" not "Taklif"?
In Arabic, the formula recited by the husband-to-be is called QUBOOL or QABOOL, which means "acceptance." The formula recited by the wife-to-be or her agent is called IJAB, which means "offer."
They are now part of Malay proper, wherever they came from. They have probably journeyed through intermediate linguistic and cultural stations, acquiring different forms and meanings, with the original words and meanings barely discernible.
Hi Fuad, actually I'm just guessing that it could be Arabic because this is an Islamic marriage and this certificate is peppered with other Arabic words which have been adopted into Malay.
