Finnish to English translations [PRO]

Tämä oli yksi noista "kuinka pian saisit tään käännettyä" -jutuista, ja siksi kysyin tuota termiä heti kun se tuli vastaan.
Koska kysymys on aika lailla eri asiasta kuin mitä edellisellä kerralla esitin, niin päätin sulkea sen kysymyksen ja esittää uuden uudelta pohjalta.
Nyt on ilmentynyt, että kyse on LVI-tukkuliikkeestä, joka normaalisti jakelee tavaraa vähittäiskauppoihin, mutta jolla on myös "noutomyymälöitä". Näistä noutomyymälöistä siihen luvan saaneet asiakkaat (rakennusliikkeet ja vast.) saavat suoraan hakea tavaraa.
Noutomyymälä ei toimi vähittäiskaupan tapaan siinä mielessä, että siellä ei paljonkaan tehdä varsinaista myyntityötä; ammattimies vain tulee ja hakee tarvitsemansa tavarat, ja firmaa laskutetaan ehkä kuukausittain. Hinnat on tietysti paljon halvempia kuin tavallisessa rautakaupassa.
Näyttää siltä, että Suomessa käytetään nykyisin noutomyymälä-nimtystä vähän minkälaatuisesta kaupasta hyvänsä, kun halutaan loihtia mielikuvaa halvasta hintatasosta. Parempi suomenkielinen lähtökohta taitaisi olla 'noutotukku', ainakin niin kauan kunnes jokainen karkkikioski on sen niminen. |
