Explanation:
It depends on the context. If we're talking about the sense of smell, then your guess about the analogy to taste buds is correct and the english term is an olfactory cell (you can google it). If we're talking about glands that animals have, such as at the anus of some mammals, that they use to secrete a scent (for marking territories, for example), then we're talking about a scent gland. Without knowing the context, I would guess the latter to be correct. Humans have them in their arm pits.
