it means 'hoor' in standard Dutch Explanation: zenne, zunne, zulle, zu, wi, etc. are all variants of interjections used in various Flemish dialects that can all be replaced by 'hoor' in standard Dutch. There's no real 1 on 1 translation; let me give you the Van Dale entry for 'hoor': hoor2 (tussenwerpsel) (meestal onvertaald) zie context hieronder context goed, hoor, doe dat maar! fine, go ahead! goed hoor, mooi gedaan! great, well done! hij is erg aardig, hoor! he's really nice! ik dacht dat jij zou helpen, maar nee, hoor I thought you'd help, but oh no / but no such luck / but not a bit of it! ik jou geld lenen? nee hoor me, lend you money? no chance / no way / fat chance / some chance / catch me doing that! ik jou oplichten? nee hoor / ik niet hoor me, swindle you? perish the thought / wouldn't dream of it! ja, hoor, ik kom! oh yes / sure I'm coming! leuk hoor! very funny! (met nadruk op very) ha-ha! |
