"Het APPARTEMENT ..., omvattende:
a) in private en uitsluitende eigendom:
De winkel, bureel, living, een berging, keuken, badkamer, W.C., drie slaapkamers en een sas;..."

One of the definitions in Van Dale is 'brandsluis', which is:

"Afgeschieden ruimte tussen twee brandsecties bestemd om in geval van brand van het ene in het andere te kunnen komen zonder beide secties direct met elkaar in verbinding te stellen."

If this is correct, how should this be rendered in English?
