Explanation:
this is rather difficult to translate - it refers to singer songwriters who appeared in the 1960s in Flanders modelling themselves on Bob Dylan and the like - in contrast to Flemish pop/country and western or "schlagers" (modelled on German crooners). No doubt someone else will have a better idea.
