Les comprimés

Ce sont les formes les plus utilisées mais pas forcément les plus connues. En effet, en plus des comprimés normaux, il en existe de nombreuses sortes :

Comprimés à libération accélérée (comprimés effervescents, lyocs...) ;
Comprimés gastrorésistants (dont la digestion ne commence que dans l’intestin et pas dans l’estomac) ;
Comprimés à libération prolongée (les fameux LP).
Certains comprimés ne doivent surtout pas être écrasés (comprimés LP et gastrorésistants). Il est très important de prendre un verre d’eau pour avaler des comprimés, car cela évite de qu’ils ne collent à la paroi de l’oesophage ou de l’estomac et provoquent des ulcérations voire une perforation, sauf pour certains comprimés à laisser fondre dans la bouche.
