أثر المياه الضحلة والسواحل وتضاريس اعماق البحار والمحيطات على حركة التيارات :
تنخفض سرعه الماء في المياه الضحلة نظرا لانخفاض تاثير رياح مع التعمق للماء الى الاسفل كذلك العلاقة بين
العمق والعمق الاحتكاكي فاذا كان العمق الحقيقي اقل من عشر العمق الاحتكاكي فتتماشى حينئذ اتجاه حركة الماء مع
حركة الرياح . وتؤثر اشكال السواحل وتضاريس القاع بشكل كبير على سرعه وحركة واتجاه التيارات المحيطية
