Het antwoord op deze vraag ligt misschien voor de hand, maar ik kom er toch niet uit... Het gaat om het verschil - als er een is - tussen 'prise' en 'contact'. Uit de context maak ik op dat er een verschil is, maar hoe de vertaling van beide woorden dan exact moet luiden, is me niet duidelijk. Enkele voorbeelden:

Le câblage horizontal comprend principalement les ***prises utilisateurs*** et le câblage entre celles-ci et le local de reconfiguration correspondant

Les ***contacts*** sont du type autodénudant, le raccordement des ***prises*** se fait conformément aux spécifications de la norme TIA/EIA/568-B-1-2.

En fonction de l'emplacement laissé libre pour l'installation de ces ***prises***, celles-ci peuvent être doubles ou triples. Elles ont le même aspect esthétique que les ***prises de courant*** du local où elles se trouvent.

agree  xxxNMR: een "prise" is het ding waar de stekker ingaat, dus stopcontact (voor stroom), wandcontactdoos (telefoon), stekkerdoos, maar ook aansluiting, enz. Een "contact" is een contact of een pool.
