My ignorance is such that I'm not even sure whether the "or" means this is 2 different types of audit or an alternative way of saying the same thing ("statutory audit", maybe?). I'm aware that conventionnel can have the meaning of "contractual"; alternatively, I'm wondering if they are not just saying "conventional" meaning usual, standard, traditional audit, i.e. a financial audit, as against all these new-fangled (!) "quality audits" and suchlike. |

However, if it *does* just mean "statutory or conventional audit", then fine, I can go with that :-)

Then there those audits that are not mandatory under the law, although they may be required by the securities and exchange authorities, for instance. They may be called voluntary or discretionary, even though they do result from an "agreement". Another way that I might choose to say this is "statutory or other audits" although it does beg the questions somewhat; given your context, however, it might be the best solution. |
