French term or phrase: créances d'exploitation : le compte client
Part of a training document for a course in financial management, which unfortunately uses lots of very technical accounting terms that lose me totally.

It is used in this paragraph:

"Les emplois circulants ou l'actif circulant :
- Les stocks de marchandises ou de matières premières.
- Les créances d'exploitation : le compte client.
- Les disponibilités : les comptes banque-caisse."

Two points: I have seen from the Proz glossary that "créances d"expolitation" is "trade recevivables" or "accounts receivable", but my research shows that "compte client" also seems to mean that: is there a difference beween them? Should I ignore the doubling up in the French?

Also, the client glossary has "créances" as "debtors", is this of any relevance here? (In some other parts of the document, "créances" is clearly "debts".)

Hope this explanation is not too garbled, and that there are some accounting specialists out there who can help!
