  -> Most definitely not in my 6 dictionaries!

neutral  Chris Hall: "Stocks" in French is a faux ami meaning "inventory". See GDT for confirmation of this definition.

disagree  Buzzy: I would have thought "stock" for "stock" would be perfectly possible in BE, but the problem with this answer is as rkillings says
