I thought it looked like something where you wold hope for a return from subsidiaries, but losses rather than profits were realized. Tough to say without more info whether it could mean any of a number of other things.

This is dealing with recovery of debt. Only with the benefit of further context will you be able to decide whether the subsidiaries are being asked to revocer monies due or if they are indeed the entities which owe monies.
