neutral  RHELLER: where exactly do you see the term potential?
47 mins
  -> en puissance, but then it could be in power, not potential

disagree  xxxJane Lamb-Ru: also, we don't say the industrial, that's French..
55 mins
  -> I meant "industrialist", bien sur

disagree  xxxdf49f: contre-sens (et terminologie financière incorrecte) - meaning: guy No.1 (V. Boloré) has increased his stakeholding in the company (Havas) of guy No. 2 (A. de Pouzihlac) and then got the latter kicked out as CEO

agree  Charlie Bavington: that's certainly the general idea. The "industriel" could refer to a company, not a person - only the fuller context would tell us (or some web research!)
13 mins
  -> I think it's a person but cannot really tell

agree  Andreea Vintila

agree  emiledgar: yes, but maybe "...industrialist's increased stake"
41 mins
  -> and the verb then?

agree  xxxdf49f: oui - et l'industriel breton se réfère à Mr. Boloré, industriel/financier et repreneur d'entreprises bien connu en France, et à sa relation avec Havas in which he has indeed increased his stakeholding

  -> that came out later though I should have remembered

Explanation:

montée en puissance means: a power to contend with..rise to power..the problem is: one has to know what that means by knowing how much he actually owns and others

for example: if he owns 30% that Could Be a lot..depends on the other shareholders
