Marketing - Advertising / Public Relations | | French term or phrase: analyse de tonalité | | analysis of the content of media coverage to determine whether it is has a positive or negative slant. "Tone analysis" sounds off to me, but perhaps it's the correct marketing term (for UK)? |

There is no universally concise English transl, so I reworded to a sentence structure, "qualititive analysis of tone..." Thanks to you and all who replied, and apologies for my late response. I agree that in the media tone and bias are not always interchangeable, and can lead to problems of interpretation.
