French term or phrase: pantalons
The term 'pantalons' is included in an 'advertising clause' in a contract of assignment of intellectual property rights over a play. It is some kind of advertisement, but I cannot understand exactly what it is!! I would appreciate any help:

The paragraph reads as follows:

Le Producteur se réserve le droit d’exécuter une publicité spéciale ne comportant par exemple que le titre du Spectacle ou des « pantalons » ou affichettes spéciales ne comportant que le titre du Spectacle.

Thanks in advance to all!

Explanation:
I believe these are tall, thin posters specially designed for posting on the round columns that are such a familiar part of Parisian street furniture.

The folowing reference explains what they are and has an illustration, though I don't actually know how you would translate it.

Emile Zola/Zola et l'affiche

Ces trois affiches dites " Pantalon ", à cause de leurs formes allongées pour ... Une affichette indique les récompenses gagnées par le film de René Clément ...

Just to bring out the answer very kindly researched for us by French to English, it would appear that the correct translation the is 'French pantalon posters' (personally, I think I'd be inclined to enclose 'panatalon' in quotes).

agree  Flo Demolis: The reproductions (smaller than the "affiche" in your ex.) are apparently known as "French Pantalon posters" http://www.moviegoods.com/movie_product.asp?sku=310934&maste... http://www.learnaboutmovieposters.com/posters/db/poster.asp?...
