French term or phrase: modulation
Hi

From a magazine's advertising insertion orders terms and conditions:

"Volume: un dégressif est réservé à tout annonceur sur la base de l'engagement écrit de réalisation de CA brut base achat annuel minimum après application de modulations éventuelles."

I have:
"Advertisers will be given a volume discount on the basis of a written revenues agreement based on annual total gross spending after application of ???"

Thank you!

Reply to Asker (can't find the button to click on to respond specifically to your latest question so I'm putting my reply here-- maybe somebody can point out to me how to do this, I'm new to this website...): Your question/comment: "Thanks Rufinus. I'd also thought of "adjustments" as a catch-all translation of "modulation". Do you have any examples of its use in this type of context?" Answer: Not specifically in the context of a sales or spending target, although I'm sure they exist and could be found with extensive googling. A google search of "figure includes adjustments" yields 150 hits, all of which show that it's clear that figures are adjusted in any number of contexts. There's no reason that comes to mind not to use the term "adjustment" in this one.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Rufinus. I'd also thought of "adjustments" as a catch-all translation of "modulation". Do you have any examples of its use in this type of context?

Asker: Hi again and welcome - Thanks for your note. I'm happy with adjustments unless something very advertising-specific comes up. Re replying to questions, I think an "Ask the asker" box appears once you have earned X KudoZ points (TBC).
