French term or phrase: CAM
Found on a slide with bar graphs following. I think the M is for market but am not sure. Does anyone know what this term means? Thanks

"Part de marché soin anti-age visage, en pharmacie, en valeur (en CAM à fin janvier 2008)"

MAT - moving annual total
Explanation:
From what I've seen on the web, CAM tends to be used to mean "cumul annuel mobile". If you type "en CAM" between inverted commas, you'll see what I mean.

Anyway, this seems to have been discussed on a couple of other sites (WordReference and Mail Archive) and the suggested translation was as above. On the latter site, Steven Geller (who I seem to remember is a member of this site) provides a handy definition. It seems to get plenty of hits.

This is by no means a specialist area of mine, hence the low confidence level.

HTH,

Simon

Explanation:
If you think that M is market, then I would say CA is chiffre d'affaire = total sales or turnover
