French term or phrase: entreprises OR enseignes à réseau
Both "entreprises à réseaux" and "enseignes à réseaux" appear in this document (an annual report for a French marketing/communications company). The "entreprises" and/or "enseignes" in question are its main customers. I think it could mean "network marketing companies" or "MLM" (multi-level marketing) companies but would appreciate any other suggestions or comments as I'm not sure. No examples of actual customer names are given in this context so it's difficult to check.

The company in question is dedicated to providing services to these "entreprises à réseaux" and specialises in design and production of marketing and communications materials for its customers, targeted at their own customers. Their services include consulting, design, production, pre-press and print management.

chain stores
Explanation:
To me, this is talking about a company that has a network of stores. This could include franchises but not necessarily, and not exclusively. Most high street stores are chains.
