Marketing - Advertising / Public Relations / Brochure
French term or phrase: se jouer des particules de lumière
The context comes from the introduction to an advertising brochure for wedding rings that is in development and destined for the French market. My client is developing the brochure for the wedding ring manufacturer, and it will be distributed to jewelry retailers carrying its product lines. The expression appears in the following paragraph:

Pour magnifier ces métaux précieux, nous leur appliquons d’innombrables finitions des plus subtiles, qui se jouent des particules de lumière…

The possible translations I've come up with so far are:

-- We further enhance the beauty of these precious metals by applying a myriad of subtle finishes that give each ring that special glow.

-- We further enhance the beauty of these precious metals by applying a myriad of subtle finishes that catch the light just so.

I would say "plays off" for "se jouent".

Explanation:
I'm torn between "catch the light" and "sparkle in the light." I love the phrase in French and I would love to capture that better, but I can't come up with a more literal translation that sounds natural and elegant in English.
