French term or phrase: communication par l'objet
Is there a way of translating this advertising concept preserving the sense of the French (in the domain of corporate gifts, giveaways, promotions, etc.?) Here's the introduction: "Toute entreprise est soucieuse de renforcer le sentiment d’appartenance à une marque, ainsi la communication par l’objet permet de : présenter de nouveaux produits, renforcer des produits, ouvrir de nouveaux marchés, renforcer la loyauté des clients, augmenter les ventes, et témoigner sa reconnaissance envers le client. C’est donc un média tout terrain adapté à toutes les circonstances, à toutes les entreprises & tous les budgets."

I have to admit this came pretty close to what I eventually used (promotional object/promotional giveaway campaign). I found "advertising objects" also widely used, but there are so many possible terms. Thanks to everyone who helped.

use of promotional materials

Explanation:
or even "communications gadgets (slang) based on YOUR definition. However, I work in Communications and we do not just use promotional materials. We also stage customer events, sponsor customer activities, and the like. Communication par l'objet could perhaps even extend to this.....

agree  Elisabeth Toda-v.Galen: but I would put "communication" in singular, gadgets in plural

disagree  Jane Lamb-Ruiz: this is not what the text is talking about: it is talking about using objects to communicate x, y or z

so using an object TO COMMUNICATE [a message]

Explanation:
syntax

I think you should keep object ...what would be odd in English would be the word communication as a noun, if you use a verb it is alright...

I mean here, object is opposed to written advertising message or filmed advertising message....

MARKETING COPY STYLE:

Every company seeks to strengthen the feeling of brand ownership and objects can be used as communicating devices to present new products, strengthen existing product images, open up new markets
etc.

That\'s the way it shoud sound in English.
