Marketing - Advertising / Public Relations
French term or phrase: chutes des remontées (MD, SMS,…).
I have a number of problemes with this sentence. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated...
This is to do with advertising efficiency and I think adjusting the figures...
SMS is OK, but any thoughts on MD?

MD = marketing direct
Explanation:
Assuming you're only asking about MD, then "marketing direct" looks likely - direct marketing in English, I believe

OK then, let\'s have a go at \"chute des remontées\" too (I was afraid you might ask that ;-) )

Because the advertising has been less widely distributed, then the advertisers have lost out on the expected \"side-effects\", in the form of text messages, direct marketing... My Business Collins-Robert says \"feedback\" for \"remontée\" but that doesn\'t seem to fit well with direct marketing. Presumably they make money from SMS on one hand, and can use info gained to target direct marketing, so the effects are both inward and outward, income and expense... what about translating \"chute de remontées\" by

lower level of related//follow-up customer contacts

Happy hunting!

agree  Sara Freitas: Yes for MD, and how about "a drop in the number of leads generated by direct marketing activities"

  -> Yes, that sounds good. I just wonder if it's "leads generated by" or "leads generated for" (ie people respond to the initial press ad, providing numbers or addresses to be targeted with MD, rather than the MD resulting in leads)?
