French to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Advertising / Public Relations
French term or phrase:chutes des remontées (MD, SMS,…).
I have a number of problemes with this sentence. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated...
This is to do with advertising efficiency and I think adjusting the figures...
SMS is OK, but any thoughts on MD?
Officialisation de notre position commerciale sur le marché : + X% de remise compensatoire xxxxx du 5/04 au 27/12 et pas de remise financière rétroactive sur le 1er trimestre (pages gracieuses en compensation). Le marché juge globalement positivement cette prise de position « claire et transparente »… mais insuffisante eu égard à la chute de nos diffusions qui ne correspond en rien « à la réalité des chiffres annoncées » et aux chutes des remontées (MD, SMS,…).

OK then, let\'s have a go at \"chute des remontées\" too (I was afraid you might ask that ;-) )
Because the advertising has been less widely distributed, then the advertisers have lost out on the expected \"side-effects\", in the form of text messages, direct marketing... My Business Collins-Robert says \"feedback\" for \"remontée\" but that doesn\'t seem to fit well with direct marketing. Presumably they make money from SMS on one hand, and can use info gained to target direct marketing, so the effects are both inward and outward, income and expense... what about translating \"chute de remontées\" by
lower level of related//follow-up customer contacts
