French to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Advertising / Public Relations / Contracts + PR | | French term or phrase: annonce de diffusion | In my TV co-production agreement, not sure if this means actually means "annonce de la diffusion" (announcement of the broadcast of...) or "annonce de diffusion" ("broadcast announcement"???).
Here's the original:
ARTICLE 19 - PRESSE - PROMOTION
LE CONTRACTANT s'engage pour lui même et ses mandataires à n'autoriser aucune *annonce de diffusion du Programme* dans les territoires concédés au Titre I - (conditions particulières), par quelque procédé technique d'émission ou de distribution (y compris vidéocassette ou vidéodisque, DVD…) que ce soit avant la première diffusion de XXX (TV Station) définie comme exclusive ou prioritaire.
My two possible translations for the first bit are:
"not to authorise any broadcast announcement in respect of the Programme"
OR
"not to authorise any announcement on the broadcast of the Programme"
See the difference? Which is right? |
