French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Aerospace / Aviation / Space / Guidance systems | | French term or phrase: guidage vertical | "La plate-forme aéroportuaire a présenté sa candidature à la mise en place d’une procédure APV EGNOS d’approche avec guidage vertical".
Is this just simply "vertical guidance" - it doesn't really make sense to me. I did find "guidage" translated as "vectoring" but that doesn't mean anything more to me either!

Admittedly, I'd never heard of this and I've called a pilot friend but they hadn't heard of it either.
I reckon it's to do with approaches where the aircraft's vertical profile is GPS-tracked, as opposed to an ILS approach.
Just an idea.
