French to English translations [PRO] Aerospace / Aviation / Space | | French term or phrase: PTU - Prise de terrain en U | Hi,
I was wondering if you might be able to help me identify the English for "PTU" or "Prise de terrain en U".
I have seen videos of this manoeuvre but have not been able to identify the correct English term. The text is explaining different stages of a flying competition and this particular section refers to aerial manoeuvres.
Any help will be gratefully received!

| | | engine failure procedures | Explanation: Both are emergency procedures for an engine failure or low power situation, the difference depending on whether you have enough altitude to make a full circuit (PTE) or not (PTU).
If there is no need to really distinguish between them, I would suggest just using the term "engine failure procedures" for the two combined |
