Exemples de réglage avec des granulés / ***bouchons***.

Taken from an instruction manual for an agricultural dry bulk fertilizer spreader. This section talks about the settings to use to achieve different spread patterns behind the machine. I'm ok with "granulés" = fertilizer granules, but "plugs" doesn't sound right to me for "bouchons" (sounds as if it might bung up the machine!) Does anyone know the correct term please?
