French to English translations [PRO]

Taken from an instruction manual for an agricultural dry bulk fertilizer spreader. This section talks about the settings to use to achieve different spread patterns behind the machine. I'm ok with "granulés" = fertilizer granules, but "plugs" doesn't sound right to me for "bouchons" (sounds as if it might bung up the machine!) Does anyone know the correct term please? |

Clarification request(s) and responsejuliebarba: 10:06am Jun 8, 2006: perhaps it is a simple as closing/plugging one section so that it diverts it to another exit.....caps? if you don't like plugs! :) -
