French to English translations [PRO] Science - Agriculture / crop yield (or crop rotation) | | French term or phrase: en blé/blé | "Le produit XXX procure la meilleure efficacité sur cette maladie (environ X quintals/hectare en blé/blé)."
Agricultural institute bulletin from France, dealing with prevention/treatment of take-all (piétin échaudage), a fungus infecting cereal plants.
Not sure if this is similar to an earlier sentence, which reads as:
"L'année suivant l'attaque, il est donc préférable d'éviter les céréales à paille. Les blés sur blé sont les plus exposés." -- I understood that to mean planting wheat in the subsequent year on the same field as was previously planted in wheat).
This is for a US audience. |
