Taken from a tax on an archaeological find in north Africa:

"L’organisation générale du rempart, en particulier son tracé au sol donc le plan qu’on peut en tirer, n’ont pas été très sensiblement modifiés au cours des temps : on était tenu par le tracé de "l’enclos" initial et pas les contingences de la structuration des irrigations. Parmi les modifications techniques qui permettent de distinguer les époques de construction, figure l’emploi de matériaux différents : pains d’adobe, blocs moulés, tâbiya montée en coffrage...."
