"Homey" maybe not the best 14:47 Sep 18
"Homey" and "homely" are often confused: "homey" refers to the comfortable quality of a home, and "homely" means unattractive, referring to a person. But I'm not sure "homey" is the best choice anyway, since to my mind it sounds a bit too cozy in an ordinary way. Perhaps the adjective to correspond to the noun "douceur" could be chosen according to the image the company is trying to convey in the rest of their description of the tiles. I chose smooth, which would put the emphasis on a physical quality of the tiles, but you could also take something more metaphorical (mellow, warm?) Actually, thinking it over, I think "warm" might be better than smooth! |
