defining series Explanation: Since this is a workshop, perhaps the active verb form can work. Describing Series Depicting Series Defining Series Statements I have also never heard the term in France, & Google gives zilch. So perhaps Series Statement(s) is indeed in the authors intention, paralleling a common term with an invented one. |

series labels/headings/captions Explanation: I think headings is better than the other two suggestions, since it's used for describing the intellectual content of a document (a book for instance) and in French it is translated by "vedettes". |

project statement(s) Explanation: As you suggest in your question, there's the "the artist's statement with respect to his/her work in general" and "the artist's statement with respect to the particular series of works". It sounds like this may just be the latter: in addition to the more global 'artist statement' expressing the artist's general orientation, there are statements where the artist expresses their aim and thinking with respect to a particular exhibition or series of work - indeed 'exhibition statement' could also work. |
