French term or phrase: Cliquant
I'm translating a doc made up of responses to a survey carried out by a jewellery manufacturer. Unfortunately, I don't have the questions, so context is fairly thin on the ground. The full answer is:

RAFFINE MAIS POUVANT ETRE CLIQUANT

Presumably "cliquant" is being used colloquially here. Any idea what is meant?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Francis, and to everyone else too - seems so obvious to look at it now. Special bonus points to Robin as well for making me chuckle on a Tuesday afternoon!

gaudy

Explanation:
Alain is probably right about the French.

With the contrast implied with raffiné, I think gaudy is the best choice, though ostentatious might also work.
