French term or phrase: un entre deux temporel
La théatralisation de ce qui est répresenté, fait basculer insensiblement ces photographies dans un entre deux temporel.

A hyphen may be missing there.

The dramatisation of what is portrayed imperceptibly tips these photographs into an intervening period.

Or time interval, maybe.

Not sure that I really got to grips with the meaning of this sentence.

Any help greatly appreciated.

English translation:a moment between two worlds OR between two moments
Explanation:
I run into entre deux all the time. The idea is often that it is neither one nor the other, but a no man's land (another possibility). Your context should give you a clue to what is being evoked or contrasted. Perhaps it is theatricality and photographic realism.
