Explanation: Each chimera (or "chimaera," if you want to go the Latinate route) is essentially a recombinant DNA molecule, or an individual composed of a mixture of genetically different cells. There are several different kinds of chimeras (e.g., aggregation chimeras, hedterologous chimeras, mericlinal chimeras, periclinal chimeras, and radiation chimeras).
