French term or phrase: chérubin
Some cellos have a sculpted "angel" head instead of the classical scroll. The right word in French is not "ange" but "chérubin". I am wondering if there is a more specific word for that in English too.

I am not 100% sure, but as an amateur cellist I can't quite bring myself to keep quiet...;-)

There may be a more technical term, but if there is I 've not heard of it.
