French term or phrase: Une chandelle fait une danse solitaire,

A candle danses lonely

Explanation:
A candle performs a lonely danse.

Hallo Zandra,

Vele groetjes

It is already freely available on the web in French and in English!

Explanation:
Being a lazy hound, I had a quick look for you on GOOGLE.COM, entering the first line of the version you posted (or rather, just the nouns of the first line). As it so happened, there are a number of English versions already out there. This type of search often works surprisingly well.

Here are just two of them (the first one has a couple of typos in the French version).

Good luck in future searches.

Please note : I do however agree wholeheartedly with MatsWiman. You appear to have misunderstood the purpose of the site which he explains to you clearly.

The storm

Explanation:
She sees the lonely candle flame
Dance in rhythmn with the rain
She stands and looks across the sea
She wants a miracle to be
Her husband safe, an answered prayer
There is no sign, no hope out there.

The neighbours come, they know her pain.
They tell their prayers, the wind makes moan
But worst, her children fret and weep
She comforts them with lies, not truth
“Papa is coming – yes, he is!
He’ll soon be back, and safe with us.”

She hears the groaning of the deep
Pebbles grinding hope to death
She hears the moaning of the storm
A funeral wake, a burial song.

And she starts to sing her lament – but the words are lost.
