This is a machine with upper, lower and side rollers that clean vehicles before they are spray painted.

Here are examples of how it is used:

"Axe rotation suivi" which contrasts with a previous "axe rentré" which I am not sure how to translate either!
"Suivi axe U"
Bras suivi vertical

There is also a reference to it in: "Les axes électriques (altitude, suivi) sont gérés de la même façon."

Is it a "continuous axis"?

Any advice would be most appreciated - also for the "axe rentré" if possible as it seems to be a very rare expression on google.
