French term or phrase: dégau
This term appears in varous forms in a series of files relating to how car panels are put together.
Some examples are:

Le contrôle de la pièce se fera à l'issu du mode opératoire décrit ci-dessous via un dégau "pinules".
Dégau presseur.
Le contrôle de la pièce à l'issue du mode opératoire ci-dessous se fera via un dégau "pinnules".
DEGAUS SPECIFIQUES.
DEGAUT LOCAL PRESSEUR.

There is no more context and nothing so useful as a picture.

The only references I can find to "Dégau" (which I suspect is the correct spelling) seem to be an abbreviation for "dégauchisseuse", which is usually a woodworking machine.

I suspect it's some sort of gauge for measuring shapes/curvatures, etc. but has anyone any better ideas?
