French to English translations [PRO]

This term comes up in a translation I am doing of an insurance claim regarding automobiles. While I do work with this field, this document is chock full of terms I am not familiar with. I would appreciate the help.
Cette procédure a, vite, été limitée en raison de l'absence des pièces de rechange et une
saturation du magasin mal agencé a été constatée. Un chantier "REPOSE CAPOT" a été mis en
place.
Il y a eu une dérive sur les capots car les véhicules [AUTO MANUFACTURER] ont des capots avec des parties
soudées qui rendaient impossibles le traitement par débosselage ( le résultat n'était pas
satisfaisant). Le nombre de capot remplacé est de 1330 pièces alors que nous en avions
estimé 800.
Par ailleurs, les grêlons ont provoqué des microfissures sur la peinture peu détectables et cela
au niveau des gouttes d'eau des pavillons. le nombre de reprise peinture a augmenté
fortement.
Compte tenu des difficultés de reprise des casses peinture, il a été négocié avec [COMPANY] et
[COMPANY] des travaux de préparation (ponçage fin et mise en place d'apprêts sur les zone
traitées) pour éviter la mise en réforme des véhicules.
Un chantier "PREPARATION" a été mis en place et ce chantier arrêté pour l'instant sera remis
en place début janvier 2012 et ce sur une quantité de 292 châssis. (durée du chantier un
mois). |
