French term or phrase: "moyenne à faible à éclaircir tardivement"
Hi everyone,

The marketing brochure is discussing a new range of peaches and nectarines.
Then it compares the fruits in a table.

La floribondité de fruit 1 = moyenne à éclaircir tardivement.
La floribondité de fruit 2 = moyenne à faible à éclaircir tardivement.

Any help would be much appreciated as always.

Chris.

Explanation:
La floribondité de fruit 1 = moyenne COMMA à éclaircir tardivement.
La floribondité de fruit 2 = moyenne à faible COMMA à éclaircir tardivement.

So:
florbundity (???) of fruit # = average, thin late
florbundity (???) of fruit # = average to low, thin late

Wouldn't you know it, "floribundity" IS said, with 173 ghits. But I suspect orchardmen have another expression.

agree  B D Finch: Blossom? Bloom can be confused with yeast (I think) growth on the fruit skins.

-> Good point. Maybe best to avoid any poss. confusion

agree  Rachel Fell: I wonder whether they mean "cropping" by "floribondité" - ? The amount of blossom isn't usu. mentioned as much in Eng. as the pot. yield
