Euphorbia pubescens Vahl
Explanation:
There does not seem to be a common name for this plant. This is its Linnaean name. It is a type of Euphorbia or Spurge.

You don't necessarily need the Vahl addition, although it does appear often in references to this plant.

agree  philgoddard: You should leave out the Vahl. This refers to a variety of the species Euphorbia pubescens, so it's not correct to include this word in the translation unless it's in the French.

agree  Mirra_: right, "hairy spurge" :) molto brava dear Sue!
16 mins
  -> grazie cara :-)

agree  writeaway: nice research ;-)
1 hr
  -> thanks P!

disagree  philgoddard: Your last reference contradicts your answer. It says Euphorbia hirsuta is called Euphorbe hirsute in French. This is a different species. // Sorry, you're right - but I still don't think posting synonyms adds anything when we already have a correct answer
2 hrs
  -> it's the same - look at the synonyms/yeah, whatever - I happen to think my answer is better, synonym or not

agree  Rachel Fell: (but I'd avoid using "hairy spurge" as it seems to be used for another species in US, etc.) - http://www.botanique.org/apg-ii/magnoliophyta/eudicots/euros...
