Bus/Financial
French term or phrase: lettrage
This is referring to a credit management electronic data transmission system (i.e. the debt financing company's system which is accessible by the client to check on the status of their trade receivables etc.)
I just can't get my head round this:

What is a good way of translating "lettrage"? (and the whole phrase?!)

clearing
Explanation:
"lettrage" is in French the accounting procedure that assigns the same reference to an account posting (écriture) and to the counterpart account.

"clearing" is the standard accounting term for that in English:

You could say "lettering" but I don't think it would work so well here.
