Cela dit, je pense qu'il ne s'agit pas de traduire "taux de substitution de la consommation", mais plutôt : "taux de substitution" [niveau I] DE LA CONSOMMATION PRÉSENTE SUR LA CONSOMMATION FUTURE" [niveau II] Pour pouvoir traduire "en connaissance de cause", il faudrait peut-être ajouter un élément à votre contexte : "ce taux" -- le taux d'intérêt, sans doute?
