Technical manager, professional market. Explanation: "Responsable" is never an easy word to translate. Sometimes a "responsable" is a full-blooded manager (though never a director), sometimes he or she is not much higher than a supervisor. In English we tend to use "manager" a lot more easily than French-speakers use "directeur", and in this type of position, manager is OK. Other choices would be "superintendent", "officer", "head of", "assistant manager (name of speciality), "assistant manager in charge of ..." - you can continue the list almost ad infinitum. Hope this unclouds the issue a little. 3 years' wresting with the word "responsable" in demographic translations :^) |
