French term or phrase: Conseil de Surveillance
Le Conseil de Surveillance comprendera un Comité de Nominations et Rémunérations et un Comité d'Audit
English translation:Oversight Committee
This is the standard term in U.S. business parlance (as suggested by more than 70,000 Google hits).
However, it tends to discourage the use of "Committee" in the names of the two constituent groups (the "Comité de
Nominations et Rémunérations" and the "Comité d'Audit"), which would normally be translated as "Appointment and Compensation Committee" and "Audit Committee."
To maintain the hierarchical relationship, simply demote these groups by one rank, i.e., "Appointment and Compensation Subcommittee" and "Audit Subommittee."
Hope this helps,

I have often used "Audit Committee" for "Conseil de Surveillance" but obviously that wouldn't fly here!
