French term or phrase: écriture lettrée
Accounting = "lettrage des écritures d'un compte"
"écriture lettrée" and "écriture non lettrée"

Is this "coded" / "uncoded" ? "cleared" / "uncleared" ? Is "lettrage" = "coding" ?

well-read

Explanation:
I am replying only as I see that nobody else has, and I am hoping to perhaps steer you in the right direction.
Lettrée means well-read, and écriture are books, so well-read books, but I do not know how that would fit into the context of accounting. (Lettrage - lettering) Anyway, I hope that this might help you somewhat...

Explanation:
could it be "in letters" that is not just in numbers but written out as in
2 (two)?

GDT does not give any useful suggestion as to lettrage, except in the realm of graphisme, imprimerie etc. as "lettering"

reconciliation of bookings

Explanation:
took a long, long time to find this link. But I think this might be what you are looking for.

"Lettrage

Hope that helps
