The Central Credit Offices service is part of the Microeconomic Information Department, the other part of which is called the Central Balance Sheet Office
One of the three divisions. This particular Centrale registers all consumer credit contracts taken out by private individuals. It is an instrument used to curb the excessive indebtedness of private individuals. It records information on overdue debts relating to credits contracted by natural persons for private purposes. It is compulsory for financial institutions to consult these data when granting loans.
